Miyokichi

Born under the name Yurie, she first crossed paths with the seventh-generation Yakumo during her time in Manchuria, later entering the world of geisha upon returning to Japan under his guidance. A passionate romance blossomed between her and Kikuhiko, only to be shattered when he chose the path of rakugo over their love. Left behind, she eventually fled with Sukeroku, and together they welcomed a daughter named Konatsu. Yet fate dealt her a cruel hand — both she and Sukeroku perished in a fatal fall at a hot spring inn. Her fierce devotion and unresolved heartbreak cast a long shadow over the lives and bonds of two rakugo generations.
