Momotarou

Legend remembers him as the fearless warrior who ventured to Demon Island and brought its wicked oni to their knees. Yet pride proved his undoing after death—he marched into the underworld to challenge the fearsome demon magistrate Gyuuki, only to suffer a humbling defeat that sparked a genuine change of heart. Now reformed and humbled, he serves in the celestial paradise of Tōgenkyō as a pharmacist's apprentice under the divine beast Hakutaku. As one of the few level-headed characters in the series, he is unfailingly upright and perpetually worried about everything—which inevitably means cleaning up after Hakutaku's romantic entanglements and bad habits, earning him the unofficial title of the beast's full-time babysitter.
