Nakai

Nakai is Nishikata's reliable buddy and classmate, recognizable by his short brown hair and habitually narrowed eyes due to poor eyesight. He and Mano are the class's acknowledged couple, though his tendency to miss romantic cues often leaves Mano exasperated when her affectionate gestures go unnoticed. Despite his seemingly laid-back demeanor, he proves his genuine care for her at the moments that truly count. In the sequel, the two tie the knot, and Nakai finds a new calling by returning to his old school as a teacher.
