Nozomu Nanashima

A second-year high school student and former member of the soccer club, Nozomu Nanashima has been both a close friend and a fierce rival to Yusuke Igarashi since their middle school days. Known for his sharp tongue and blunt remarks, he nonetheless possesses a warm side that gradually reveals itself. Initially put off when he discovered that Kae Serinuma was an otaku, he found himself increasingly drawn to her genuine cheerfulness and relentless effort. At home, his kindergarten-aged sister's obsession with the magical girl anime PuriPuri Moon has rubbed off on him more than he'd like to admit — he has unwittingly memorized every line and dance move from the show. Due to his striking resemblance to Shion, a beloved character from Kae's favorite anime Mousou Legends, she affectionately nicknamed him "3D Shion." He has since confessed his feelings to Kae directly. Later in the story, after a serious incident leaves him in a coma following an injury sustained during a dangerous situation, Kae calls him to the rooftop once he recovers and confesses her feelings to him in front of Igarashi and the others. Seven years later, he pursues his passion for cooking with ambitions of one day opening his own restaurant.
