Odajima is Kashiwada's classmate in their third year of middle school, gifted with the rare ability to decode Kashiwada's nearly expressionless face—a talent that naturally casts her in the role of expression translator. Bursting with energy and social ease, she gets along with virtually anyone she meets. Despite her keen eye for reading people, she remains remarkably blind to matters of the heart, showing no awareness whatsoever of the feelings Ota harbors for Kashiwada.
