Oufu

Though Oufu appears to be a girl of around fourteen or fifteen, she is in truth a long-lived being who became an oni during the Great Fire of Meireki, wielding the mysterious power to manipulate the space-time boundary known as 'Yumedono'. Living as the face of a soba restaurant in the Edo period, she guides and watches over the protagonist Jinta throughout his solitary journey with a maturity far beyond her appearance and a deep love for flowers and plants, serving as a warm, sisterly presence in his lonely wandering.
