Ritsuko

Born in Nagasaki during the early Showa era, Ritsuko encountered the yokai Nuinokage while studying in Fukuoka, and the two fell in love before crossing the boundary between species to begin a new life together in the hidden realm. Throughout the story, she connects deeply with the protagonist Aoi as a fellow human who has walked the same path, offering heartfelt guidance and emotional support that helps Aoi navigate life in an unfamiliar world—making Ritsuko a profoundly trusted, elder-like presence in Aoi's journey.
