Ruti Ragnason is the younger sister of the protagonist Red, born into the world carrying the mightiest of all blessings — the 'Hero.' While this innate power designated her as the savior of the world, it simultaneously suppressed her emotional responses, appetite, and need for sleep, making her appear cold and detached to those around her. Beneath that exterior, however, she holds a profound emotional bond with her brother. Driven by the desire to reclaim that sibling connection and break free from the fate imposed by her blessing, she sets out on a journey to the frontier, seeking nothing more than the ordinary life she has always longed for.
