Sakaki Inui is a high schooler at Kenritsu Nekoge who has been inseparable from Inui Otonashi since childhood. Outside of class, he lends a hand at his sister's cake shop, Hatch Potch, showcasing impressive athleticism and surprisingly refined baking skills. Cheerful and always up for a good time, he frequently teams up with Masei Katase to pull pranks on their friends. Yet fate seems to have a vendetta against him—Sakaki is cursed with an almost supernatural ability to become the target of every stray projectile in the vicinity, making him the series' most reliable source of slapstick comedy.
