Sakurako Umeyashiki is an ordinary university student who moved from the Hokuriku region to study in Tokyo, known for her quiet nature and slight shyness around others. Her once-peaceful everyday life was turned upside down when a cat-type alien named Mumu forced her way into it in order to learn about Earth's home appliance technology. In the course of helping Mumu adapt to life on Earth, Sakurako repeatedly finds herself caught up in chaotic and comedic incidents triggered by extraterrestrial technology.
