Sakuta Azusagawa

Sakuta Azusagawa is a second-year high schooler at Minegahara who finds himself socially isolated due to rumors circulating among his peers. A chance encounter at the school library with his upperclassman Mai Sakurajima—who is suffering from the enigmatic Adolescence Syndrome—sets him on an unexpected path. Though his sharp tongue and provocative remarks often catch people off guard, beneath that candid exterior lies a deeply empathetic young man driven by an unwavering desire to help. He consistently puts others before himself, even at the cost of his own reputation, revealing a maturity and emotional depth that far exceeds his years.
