Seto is a longtime university friend of protagonist Sudo Hikaru, and like Sudo, he is both a humanoid and a practicing specialist physician. Having once operated an unlicensed clinic, he is skilled in the controversial procedure of memory "tuning," approaching every patient with a highly rational mindset. During periods when Sudo faced difficulties or his clinic was temporarily closed, Seto stepped in to manage the practice, making him a key figure in Sudo's professional and medical-ethics discussions.
