Shihou stands as one of the three paramount authorities governing the Hidden Realm, presiding over the judgment of yokai who transgress its laws. Though his everyday demeanor is deceptively lethargic—often caught dozing or yawning—he takes his duties with utmost seriousness. Once a carnivorous yokai by nature, he now adheres strictly to a vegetarian lifestyle, though his appetite frequently gets the better of him. In moments of judgment, he transforms into a colossal tiger-form yokai of overwhelming presence. He is among the rare few privy to the truth of Abe Seisai's origins, and has shown a surprisingly tender side toward Ashiya Hanae.
