Shujinkou

Shujinkou in 'Let's Go Kaikigumi' is a physically sturdy-looking high school boy clad in a school uniform. Despite his robust appearance, he has been abnormally terrified of ghosts and supernatural phenomena since childhood, harboring a level of fear six times greater than that of an average person. One evening, he wanders into an alley rumored to be haunted, where he encounters Mechako, the young leader of 'Kaikigumi,' an organization of monsters and spirits. Since Mechako lacks a sense of fear and cannot scare humans, her organization is on the verge of collapse; however, recognizing Shujinkou's extreme sensitivity to fear, she ropes him into helping rebuild the group. Despite his constant terror and reluctance, he finds himself dragged into various bizarre, comedic supernatural occurrences, constantly acting as the straight-man reacting to the eccentricities of Mechako and her spooky entourage.
