Sonju

Sonju is one of the most morally intricate demon characters in 'The Promised Neverland.' Traveling alongside Mujika under the guise of an ordinary wanderer, he conceals his true identity as the brother of the demon queen. Bound by the tenets of the ancient faith that forbids consuming farm-raised humans, he rescues Emma and Ray after their daring escape, imparting survival skills and forbidden knowledge about the world's hidden history. Yet beneath his role as a guardian and mentor lies a calculated agenda: he nurtures the hope that, once humanity flourishes freely in the wild, he will one day be permitted to legally hunt and feast upon 'wild' humans — a desire he carefully masks behind his pious exterior.
