Soun Tendou

The master of the Tendo dojo and a practitioner of the Tendo School of Indiscriminate Grappling, Soun Tendo is a single father who has raised three daughters on his own. He places great importance on responsibility, and his greatest wish is to see Ranma wed his youngest daughter Akane so that the dojo's legacy may be carried on. While he projects an air of seriousness and dignity in everyday life, he is known to dissolve into frantic panic and pull exaggerated, monstrous expressions whenever trouble arises or emotions run high—making him the warm-hearted, if comical, soul at the center of the Tendo family.
