Stagnate

Originally a benevolent deity dedicated to guiding the souls of the deceased, Stagnate was eventually overwhelmed by the endless cycle of tragedy and the inevitable deaths of great heroes. Unable to bear this sorrow, she abandoned her virtuous origins and transformed into the Goddess of Undeath, believing that turning heroes into undead creatures was the only genuine way to grant them eternity and salvation from suffering. In the narrative, she initially clashes with William when she attempts to claim the souls of his undead foster family. However, following her defeat, her animosity shifts into a profound obsession and twisted affection for the young paladin. Even though they remain sworn enemies, Stagnate continuously watches over William's journey, occasionally stepping in to assist him, and frequently tries to seduce him into joining her immortal army by openly confessing her deeply conflicted romantic feelings for him.
