Tae Shimai

Tae Shimai is an elderly woman of over eighty years who resides in a small port town, where she holds considerable local influence. On a rainy day, she sheltered a bakeneko, and upon learning of its true nature as a supernatural being, she accepted the fact without any sign of alarm. During the 'Electric Pinocchio' arc, her intimate knowledge of the area and calm, measured judgment proved invaluable in helping Kotoko Iwanaga resolve an incident involving a puppet animated by lingering resentment.
