Tamao Shima

As the third son of the Shima family, Tamao carries deep resentment toward his older brother Tamahiko, stemming from the tragic accident in which his mother lost her life while shielding Tamahiko. In the early part of the story, he is even manipulated by his sister Tamayo in an attempt to drive apart the main characters. Beneath his hostile surface, however, lies a timid boy who desperately craves affection. After reconciling with Tamahiko and gaining clarity about the circumstances of his own birth, Tamao finally releases his long-held hatred and dedicates himself to becoming a doctor—a journey that marks his transformation from a place of darkness into one of hope.
