Tao Hanakai

Tao Hanakai is a freshman at Karai High School with a double life — by day an ordinary student, and on weekends a veiled fortune teller wielding the art of physiognomy. She wraps a scarf around her face to project an air of mystique, yet her readings frequently go awry due to her habit of misreading the kanji in clients' names. Beneath the enigmatic exterior lies a genuinely shy and self-doubting girl who struggles with insecurities about her figure. Her carefully crafted mysterious persona tends to unravel whenever she's spotted enthusiastically dining at gyudon or ramen joints. She shares a close and warm friendship with her classmate Konо Yagube.
