Touma Shinjou

As the captain of Shijō Minami Middle School's boys' soft tennis club, Touma Shinjou pours relentless energy and sincerity into every aspect of the sport. With the club teetering on the edge of disbandment due to a string of poor results, he sets his sights on recruiting the athletically gifted transfer student Maki Katsuragi as the team's potential savior. Beneath his spirited exterior, however, lies a quietly wounded soul shaped by a mother's indifference and the overwhelming shadow cast by his accomplished older brother. It is through the struggle to rebuild his team that his sense of responsibility toward those he cares about slowly comes to light.
