Urushi no Haha

As the mother of Yaotome Urushi, she is a woman of striking appearance and gentle demeanor. Unlike her husband, whose overprotective and rigid nature stands in contrast, she takes a remarkably open and accepting stance toward the budding romance between Urushi and Ayumu. She frequently uses their relationship as material to playfully tease both the easily-flustered Urushi and her clumsy husband. Gifted with a sharp eye for reading the hearts of young people, she serves as a warm and supportive elder figure who quietly watches over the couple's relationship throughout the story.
