Utsugi

Utsugi is the youngest of three marten-type spirits in service to the mountain deity, dwelling alongside his elder siblings in the garden of the estate managed by the protagonist Minato Kusunoki. Recognizable by his striking yellow tail, he carries a bright, innocent disposition paired with a fondness for playful mischief. Beyond his daily duty of patrolling the grounds as a divine messenger, he finds his greatest joy in staying close to Minato and savoring Western-style sweets. Despite his youthful, impish appearance, Utsugi has inherited the mountain god's memories and occasionally reveals unexpectedly profound insights into the principles governing deities and the human world.
