Wakana Sawamura

Wakana is Yuki's elder brother and a 19-year-old Tsugaru shamisen player trained under his grandfather, Matsugoro Sawamura. Steady in nature and warm at heart, he stepped up as Yuki's primary caretaker in their mother's absence. Despite earning consistent recognition at national competitions, he holds a clear-eyed understanding of where his natural talent reaches its ceiling. Rather than seeking the spotlight himself, Wakana quietly stands behind Yuki—serving not only as a pillar of everyday support, but as a guiding presence who helps his brother discover his own unique voice on the strings.
