Yasushi

Originally a mere street performer and scoundrel, Yasushi survived by combining basic sword skills with sleight-of-hand tricks to con people out of their money. Through the Guide's hidden machinations, he was unexpectedly hired as the martial arts instructor for Liam Sera Banfield. Eager to swindle his wealthy pupil to fund his drinking and womanizing habits, Yasushi fabricated a fake martial arts discipline called the "Issen School" (Way of the Flash). He assigned Liam absurd, impossible training regimes under the guise of profound teachings, hoping to easily collect his paycheck with zero effort. To his absolute horror, Liam's sheer dedication and unyielding belief turned those cheap parlor tricks into devastatingly real swordsmanship. As his disciple grows into a monstrously powerful warrior who holds him in the highest reverence, Yasushi lives in constant terror. He desperately maintains his facade of a wise, disciplined master, fearing the lethal consequences if Liam ever discovers the truth. Despite his cowardly, self-serving, and gambling-addicted nature, Yasushi's accidental guidance inadvertently creates some of the most terrifyingly strong swordsmen in the galaxy.
