Yomi Takeda stands as the cornerstone of Shin-Koshigaya High School's girls' baseball team, renowned for her signature "magic ball" — a pitch that breaks with a dramatically unpredictable trajectory. During her middle school years, her extraordinary pitching style proved too wild for any catcher to handle, pushing her to the brink of abandoning the sport entirely. Everything changed when she reunited with her childhood friend and natural battery partner, catcher Tamaki Yamazaki, upon entering high school.
