You Shikada

You Shikada is widely regarded as a living legend in the dagashi world, proudly carrying on the family business as its eighth-generation proprietor. Determined to pass the shop down to his son Kokonotsu—who has his sights set on a manga career—he joins forces with Hotaru Shidare to nudge the boy toward his destiny. While his expertise and passion for dagashi are beyond question, behind closed doors he is surprisingly immature and carefree, and has even been known to snack his way through the shop's entire inventory.
