Ranking of anime with the best cooking/eating scenes

There's a genre of anime called "Meshi-tero" (food terrorism), which refers to those shows aired late at night that make you really hungry 😂

My ranking:
1. Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma — Although the plot falls apart later on, the food animation is top-tier.
2. What Did You Eat Yesterday? — Realistic home cooking; I want to follow the recipes in every episode.
3. Restaurant to Another World — Simple but very healing.
4. Today's Menu for the Emiya Family — A must-watch healing show for Fate fans.
5. Sweet Punishment — Dedicated to desserts; definitely don't watch it at night.

The biggest side effect of watching these types of anime is weight gain. Who else is like me, ordering takeout while binge-watching?

Does anyone have any other recommendations?

The early parts of Food Wars! were genuinely good, but the plot really fell apart badly in the later stages. If we're talking solely about the food animation, it's probably the best in the history of anime.

+1 for "What Did You Eat Yesterday?"! I want to cook along with every episode. The best part is that all the recipes in it are actually doable; I've already followed them to cook over a dozen dishes.

As a "late-night diner anime watcher," this is my home turf! I recommend adding The Way of the Househusband; although it's not a traditional food anime, the parts where Tatsu cooks are super hilarious and really whet your appetite.

I recommend an old classic: "Chuuka Ichiban!" (Cooking Master Boy). Although it's very exaggerated, the descriptions of the food made me drool when I was a kid. A classic among classics.
