[ACGHK] Ani-Com & Games HK Typhoon Guide: Reopening Times, Ticket Rescheduling & Post-Typhoon Schedule (July 27–28)
Hong Kong’s signature annual ACG event—the 27th Ani-Com & Games Hong Kong (ACGHK)—is taking place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (Halls 1, 3, and 5). However, during the event, Tropical Cyclone "Nangka" approached Hong Kong, prompting the Hong Kong Observatory to issue Typhoon Signal No. 8 (T8) or higher.
Many fans are asking: "When will the event reopen after the typhoon signal is lowered?", "Can I reschedule or refund my ticket if I couldn't attend due to the typhoon?", and "Will the key stage programs on July 27–28 be affected?" Here is your ultimate survival guide for ACGHK during severe weather!

1. ACGHK Severe Weather Contingency Protocol: When Will it Reopen?
According to the official guidelines issued by the organizer, exhibition operations depend on signal levels (Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above, Black Rainstorm Warning, or "Extreme Conditions") as follows:
1. Typhoon Signal No. 8 or Above (Signal No. 8 / 9 / 10)
【Before Opening Hours】
Effective Early Morning: If Signal No. 8 or above is issued before 8:00 AM, the venue will remain temporarily closed.
Reopening Schedule:
July 24 – 27: If the Observatory lowers the signal to Signal No. 3 or below before 2:00 PM, the venue will reopen within 2 hours after the signal is lowered.
Full-Day Suspension Rule: If Signal No. 8 or above remains in effect after 2:00 PM, the exhibition will be suspended for the entire day.
Final Day Special Arrangement (July 28): If Signal No. 3 or below is issued before 1:00 PM, the venue reopens within 2 hours and closes at the scheduled time of 8:00 PM. If Signal No. 8 remains in effect after 1:00 PM, the exhibition will close early for the remainder of the event.
【During Exhibition Hours】
If Signal No. 8 pre-warning or signal is issued during exhibition hours, onsite ticket counters will stop operations immediately. Visitor entry will be halted, and orderly evacuation broadcasts will be made to guide visitors and exhibitors out before early closure.
2. Black Rainstorm Warning / "Extreme Conditions"
Effective Before Opening: If in effect before 8:00 AM, the venue remains temporarily closed and will reopen within 2 hours once downgraded to Red/Yellow Rainstorm Warning (suspended for the day if not downgraded before 2:00 PM).
Issued During Opening Hours (Exit Only | Activities Continue):
Onsite ticket sales and new visitor entries will be suspended.
Visitors inside are advised to remain indoors. Exhibition booths and stage performances inside the halls will continue normal operations until the warning is lifted and it is safe to leave.
2. Ticket Rescheduling & Refund Guide
Missed your scheduled visit due to typhoon disruption? The organizer offers flexible options for advance ticket holders:
1. Flexible Date Rescheduling (For Full-Day Suspensions)
Eligible Tickets: Holders of single-day advance tickets such as "ACGHK General Admission Ticket", "Child Ticket", and "Hall 3 Ticket".
Rescheduling Rule: If the exhibition is suspended for a full day due to severe weather, ticket holders do not need to perform complicated refund steps. You can directly enter on any remaining event day (e.g., July 27 or July 28) by scanning your original e-ticket (via 01 Space / ACGHK APP) or physical ticket at the entrance.
2. Final Day (July 28) Special Refund Mechanism
If extreme weather persists through the final day (July 28), causing an early shutdown or full-day cancellation without remaining days for entry:
The organizer will publish dedicated refund instructions on the Official Website, Facebook Page, and ACGHK APP.
Please retain your purchase receipts and unredeemed app ticket orders (e.g., 01 Space or official app).
3. Real-Name Pass Holders (Cosplayers / Photographers / Head-Start Passes)
Holders of Cosplayer Registration Passes or CosParadise Photographer Passes should monitor push notifications in the ACGHK APP closely. If opening times are adjusted, entry throughput at Hall 5FG channels will be managed based on real-time onsite safety.
3. Post-Typhoon Stage Schedule (July 27–28)
Once the storm passes, the ACGHK stage will be packed with exciting programs! Here are the highlighted events for July 27 (Mon) and July 28 (Tue, Final Day):
