I went too! The MAPPA original art exhibition area was truly amazing; the linework on some of those original drawings was unbelievably clean. Did you go to the Aniplex booth?

From the perspective of anime pilgrimage: many anime landscapes are drawn based on real-life locations. The feeling of being there in person is even more profound.

I've visited a few school filming locations during my anime pilgrimages. The buildings are identical, but that sense of youth... it really only exists in anime.
