Introduction / Synopsis

Summary

Fruits Basket Season 2 is a TV anime adaptation of the beloved manga by Natsuki Takaya, blending comedy, romance, drama, psychological depth, and supernatural intrigue into a compelling narrative. This season dives deeper into the bonds between Tooru Honda and the Souma family, unraveling the dark secrets surrounding Akito Souma and the emotional scars carried by each zodiac member. Produced by TMS Entertainment, with direction by Yoshihide Ibata and series composition by Taku Kishimoto, this season delivers a more intense and emotionally resonant story that fans of the original manga will not want to miss.

Plot

Tooru Honda has now spent a full year living alongside the Souma family, forging deep bonds with Shigure Souma, Kyou Souma, and Yuki Souma. Over time, she has become acquainted with the extraordinary secret that has been passed down through the Souma bloodline for generations. As summer arrives, Tooru looks forward to a relaxed season shared with those she has grown close to. Yet the warmth of these relationships also stirs up unresolved emotions and memories long buried beneath the surface. Adding to the complexity, the members of the zodiac are called to fulfill their obligations at the Eternal Banquet, presided over by the enigmatic and imposing head of the family, Akito Souma. Beneath the cheerful summer days lies a tension that quietly builds—between old wounds, complicated feelings, and duties that cannot be ignored. For Tooru, the question remains: can the peaceful life she has found with the Soumas truly last?
