Introduction / Synopsis

Summary

Golden Time is a TV anime drama and romance series produced by J.C.STAFF, directed by Chiaki Kon, with series composition by Fumihiko Shimo. Based on the light novel by Yuyuko Takemiya, the story follows Banri Tada, a college freshman who lost all memories of his past, as he navigates new friendships and unexpected love in Tokyo. His encounter with the captivating Kouko Kaga sets off a heartfelt journey of self-discovery, identity, and romance. With its emotionally layered narrative and compelling character dynamics, Golden Time stands out as a must-watch for fans of mature, character-driven romantic drama.

Plot

A fateful accident robs Banri Tada of his memories, leaving him without any recollection of his hometown or the life he once lived. Rather than dwelling in the past he can no longer reach, Banri makes the bold decision to start fresh—enrolling in a law school in Tokyo and forging a new identity from the ground up. With the support of his newfound friend Mitsuo Yanagisawa, he slowly finds his footing in the bustling city. Yet just as campus life begins to feel familiar, the striking and spirited Kouko Kaga makes an entrance that turns his world upside down. College becomes more than just a place of study for Banri—it's a stage where he can reinvent himself, build meaningful connections, experience the thrill of romance, and learn from his own missteps. This is the story of a young man searching for who he truly is, one unforgettable moment at a time.
