Maki tries to act normal so that their secret relationship won't be exposed, and Yuu invites him to hang out with them, but... Maki refuses in a strong tone and leaves the scene.

On another day, while Umi and Maki are playing at Maki's house as usual, they fall asleep while absorbed in manga. Maki's mother, Masaki, notices them when she returns home late at night, and despite getting scolded, Umi stays over. Meanwhile, at school, the executive committee members for the upcoming school festival are being decided.

Maki draws a winning lot in the selection of two Cultural Festival executive committee members. Yuu expresses her indignation as classmates treat the remaining slot as a "short straw" in a mean-spirited prank. While the atmosphere is tense, Yuu volunteers, but Umi claims to have drawn the winning lot, calming the situation. However, Umi had actually drawn a losing lot and lied to settle the matter. Later, at Maki's suggestion, the class decides to create empty-can art for the festival, and Maki and Umi begin preparations in cooperation with their classmates.

The next day, Umi and Maki go to the movies for a date, but Umi falls asleep shortly after it starts because the film is boring. The two realize that even on a date, they should have watched a B-movie instead of a romance. After enjoying a cafe and karaoke, night falls in the blink of an eye.

Seeing Maki kindly teaching Yuu, Umi feels a sense of jealousy and anxiety, leading her to flirt with Maki despite being in front of Yuu and Nozomu. When Friday arrives, Maki meets with Itsuki and questions him about his relationship with Minato.

The next day, Umi goes out, leaving Maki and Sora alone together. Sora expresses her gratitude to Maki for getting along so well with Umi, and Maki declares that he will cherish Umi as well.
