KAMITSUBAKI CITY UNDER CONSTRUCTION is a TV anime adapted from the multimedia project by PIEDPIPER, blending mystery, sci-fi, and dark tragedy with a distinctive music and art aesthetic. Produced by Shogakukan Music & Digital Entertainment, the series is helmed by director and series composer Hirota Kakimoto. Featuring Kafu Morisaki, Haru Asanushi, Koko Rinne, Sekai Yorukawa, and Rime Tanioki at its center, this darkly atmospheric sci-fi mystery delivers a bold and immersive multimedia experience unlike any other.

Seven years have passed since a catastrophic disaster reshaped the course of human civilization. From the ruins, Kamitsubaki City Under Construction has emerged as a symbol of scientific achievement and renewed hope. Yet beneath its gleaming surface, a sinister threat lurks — creatures known as Tesseractors, born from the darkest recesses of the human soul. Standing between the city and destruction are five remarkable girls: Kafu Morisaki, Haru Asanushi, Koko Rinne, Sekai Yorukawa, and Rime Tanioki. Known as Witchlings, these five wield an extraordinary power — their voices carry magic capable of combating the monsters that ordinary means cannot defeat. In a world still bearing the scars of past devastation, the Witchlings raise their voices not only to shield Kamitsubaki City from harm, but to breathe life back into a humanity that has yet to fully heal.
