Loner Life in Another World follows Haruka, a high school student who has always preferred keeping to himself over socializing with classmates. His solitary routine is turned upside down when he and his entire class are suddenly transported to a fantasy world. A divine being presents the students with the opportunity to choose from a list of powerful skills to aid them in this new realm — but by the time it's Haruka's turn, every worthwhile ability has already been claimed by his peers. Frustrated and left with nothing but the dregs, Haruka voices his complaints directly to the deity. The god, unamused by the outburst, retaliates by piling every last unwanted skill onto Haruka. Armed with a collection of seemingly useless abilities — including one simply called "Loner" — Haruka sets off on a solitary journey through an unfamiliar world, navigating adventure entirely on his own terms.
