Hikaru Gero is the next head of the "Poison Users," an elite clan at the pinnacle of the assassin world. To protect his sister, Hikaru resolves to find a wife and suddenly proposes to Mei Kinosaki—a master marriage swindler he met as an assassination target! Gero's marriage hunting begins with marriage swindler Mei Kinosaki as his advisor. Kinosaki, who claims to be able to seduce anyone in 30 seconds, asserts that the best way for Gero to shine in marriage hunting is by "helping others." While Gero wonders, "How can an assassin help people...?" Kinosaki suggests using an underworld job mediation site. One day, a painting is stolen on a luxury cruise ship where the two are visiting for a date rehearsal. There, Gero encounters Kyouko Himekawa, a notorious art thief in the underworld.
