mono is a TV anime adaptation of the manga by あfろ, brought to life by animation studio Soigne under the direction of Ryota Aikei, with series composition handled by Yoko Yoneuchiyama. mono follows the story of Satsuki Amamiya, a high school student and member of the Photography Club who finds herself at a loss after her beloved club president graduates and moves on. Feeling uncertain about what lies ahead, Satsuki receives heartfelt encouragement from her closest friend and fellow club member, An Kiriyama, who urges her to pour her energy into their newly formed Cinephoto Club — a merger born from two passionate groups. Together, the two friends embark on an unexpected adventure: searching for a camera that has gone missing under mysterious circumstances. Along the way, they cross paths with a colorful cast of new faces, all while continuing to pursue their shared love of photography and filmmaking.
