Ai Mie

Ai Mie is a middle school student with an extreme case of nearsightedness who, due to her forgetful nature, frequently arrives at school without her glasses. Unable to see her surroundings clearly, she instinctively leans very close to her neighbor Kaede Komura in order to make out what is in front of her—an unconscious habit that never fails to make Kaede's heart race. Though her poor eyesight leads to many comedic mishaps, her sincere, easygoing personality gradually gives rise to tender feelings between them as Kaede quietly watches over her day after day.
