Bug-Eyes

His real name remains unknown; the nickname 'Bug-Eyes' was given to him on account of his noticeably protruding eyes. Once sold into slavery in Greece, he shared the same name and a similar age with the protagonist, leading the visually impaired Leif to mistake him for his true target and take him in as an adopted son. Despite his timid nature and fondness for money—often playing the role of comic relief—he remains faithfully by Leif's side throughout the voyage in search of the real Thorfinn, making him an indispensable sailor and companion to the crew.
