Draka was raised among a nomadic people, and the loss of her father in her early years led her to believe that money alone could guarantee survival. Gifted with an extraordinary memory and a deeply rational mind, she never placed faith in religious doctrine. When a manuscript presenting the heliocentric theory came into her hands by chance, her initial intent was purely to profit from it — yet she gradually found herself committed to protecting the truth it contained.
