Oczy

Oczy is a substitute duelist serving under the civilian security guild, blessed with a visual acuity rivaling that of a telescope. Yet a theological doctrine warning of 'defiled earth' has long kept him from gazing up at the night sky, and his inherently pessimistic nature left him mired in a sense of nihilism toward the world. It was only after being drawn into research surrounding the heliocentric theory that he began to awaken from that emptiness—teaching himself to read and write, committing truths to record with his own hand, and ultimately resolving to fight in order to protect the 'wonder' the earth inspires and the hope it carries for others.
