Fennel

Fennel is an elven merchant who has spent his 183 years quietly harboring a one-sided love for the witch Alyssa, a girl he has known since childhood. Despite the striking appearance typical of his elven heritage, his timid nature prevents him from ever conveying his feelings to the oblivious Alyssa, who regards him as nothing more than a younger brother. His persistent but ill-fated pursuit is constantly disrupted by Alyssa's daughter Viola, who delights in teasing and thwarting him at every turn, cementing his role as the story's endearingly hapless comic-relief character.
