During the Sanctuary arc, he stood as a fierce obstacle against Emilia's group, yet after clashing with Natsuki Subaru and confronting the trials buried within his own heart, he found the courage to break free from his past and join their cause. Blessed with the 'Blessing of the Earth Dragon,' he can unleash a powerful beast transformation that makes him one of the most formidable fighters in the series. Though his speech is rough and he has a habit of spouting his own improvised proverbs, beneath that tough exterior lies a fiercely protective young man who looks up to Subaru with the reverent title of 'General.'
