Ishii

Ishii is a lone technician who has made her home in the upper reaches of a desolate, abandoned city. Driven by an unwavering desire to reach another city beyond the horizon, she dedicates herself to constructing an aircraft from age-old blueprints entirely on her own. Under the pretense of needing assistance with repairs, she enlists the help of protagonists Chito and Yuuri. Though the flight ends in failure as the aircraft breaks apart mid-air, the moment Ishii descends by parachute marks a profound emotional release. Her arc stands as one of the series' most compelling explorations of what it means to find purpose in a world stripped of hope.
