Iso-Onna

Iso-Onna makes her appearance at the very beginning of the story, drawn to the protagonist Hinako by the distinctive and alluring quality of her blood. She launches a predatory assault on Hinako along the shoreline. Despite presenting herself with the beautiful appearance of a woman, she harbors a savage and ferocious nature beneath the surface. Just as she is on the verge of devouring Hinako, the guardian Shiori intervenes and strikes her down. As a pivotal opening supporting character, she serves to expose the brutal world of the story while simultaneously demonstrating the formidable power of Hinako's mermaid protector.
