Among all the tsukumogami inhabiting Izumoya, Kaguya-hime stands out as the most classically enchanting presence. Her every gesture carries an otherworldly elegance reminiscent of the legendary moon princess of folklore. Though outwardly serene and articulate, she harbors a deep, unshakeable longing for the moon that often surfaces as a quiet, poignant melancholy. The shop's owner, Kiyoji, moved by her yearning, thoughtfully placed a hanging scroll depicting a moonlit night — known as 'Tsukuyomi' — beside her as a gentle consolation. Together with her fellow tsukumogami, she observes and muses upon the fleeting affairs of the human world, lending the story a timeless feminine grace rooted in classical beauty.
