Karen Kurutsu

As the firstborn daughter of Urashima's mayor, Karen finds herself in a classic rebellious phase, yearning to escape island life and explore the mainland. To fund her great escape, she picks up a part-time maid job at the Mihara household. Her blunt, boyish speech and constant clashes with her father mask a genuinely warm and straightforward personality. When it comes to romance, she's completely out of her depth—dense to the point of missing even the most obvious signals. Among the island's eccentric residents, Karen stands out as a rare beacon of common sense, which ironically makes her the perfect target for the protagonist Kirna's endless teasing.
