Kihachi Sakamoto

Growing up in an alternate reality dominated by steam power, Kihachi Sakamoto was always captivated by the untapped potential of electricity. He meticulously documented his visionary electrical inventions in a special notebook alongside his older brother, Seiroku. However, after Seiroku tragically died in a war taking the notebook with him, Kihachi became a cynical boy who lost faith in humanity and actively rejected traditional religious beliefs. His bleak world shifts when he crosses paths with Inako Momokawa, a pious but unlucky girl trying to escape a politically arranged marriage. United by a shared need for change, Kihachi slowly drops his guard as they embark on a rebellious journey to retrieve the lost catalog and fulfill his late brother's dream of a new electrical era.
