From that moment on, she held onto a quiet yet profound wish — to one day bear a child of her own, as living proof that she had truly existed in this world. In Episode 18, as she and Mitsuru were in the midst of their wedding ceremony, the celebration was abruptly disrupted when 9'α and a special forces unit forced their way in and took Kokoro away. Upon her return, her memory had been tampered with, stripping her of both her feelings for Mitsuru and her knowledge of childbirth. Yet fate had not severed their bond — beginning in Episode 20, Kokoro began experiencing symptoms of morning sickness, and her pregnancy was officially confirmed in Episode 22. In Episode 23, Kokoro and Mitsuru made a solemn promise to walk forward together, sealing their renewed vow with an exchange of wedding rings. By Episode 24, she had given birth to the child she and Mitsuru shared, and she lovingly named their newborn「Ai」.
