Ledo

Ledo is a teenage Ensign serving the Galactic Alliance of Humankind, raised in an environment where combat efficiency and absolute obedience define one's worth. After an unexpected battle against hostile alien creatures sends him adrift through space, he crash-lands near Earth and is rescued by the massive seafaring fleet Gargantia. Stripped of his military structure and familiar orders, Ledo gradually immerses himself in the languages, customs, and emotions of Earth's inhabitants—slowly evolving from a soldier who only knew war into someone searching for a deeper reason to exist.
